Got bored and made another avatar. This one's from Clone Wars! Really should be working on my New Media storyboards some more, but then again I am at least doing something vaguely new media related. Wish I could get a decent sleeping pattern figured out so I wouldn't feel tired all the time.

Don't normally bother to post these, but this one's not bad. I'd better get my hands on some belts.

| Semester is DONE!!! |
[24 Jun 2005|08:35pm] |
As it seems to be the common theme amongst my friends' posts, I too shall post that the semester is finished. Huzzahs all around. Frankly I don't think I went that well on the exams, but I'm pretty sure I've passed all the units (I'd have to have really messed up the CIP exam not to pass - like when I thought I was writing an intelligent essay, I was actually writing a series of song lyrics from the 80s, combined with threats of broken legs for any of the examiners who read it followed by a list of their home addresses. Geez, I hope I didn't do that). I was stoked to get a D+ for the Narrative group work, and a D- for my New Media 1 project. :D
Wish I could go out and celebrate properly - seeing DIG! was great, but I wouldn't mind the chance to get drunk without worrying about getting up the next day. That option's not available to me till next week by the looks of things. And when that happens, oh so many video games there shall be. And they shall be played! Played I tells you!!

There's way too much fucking work to do by the end of next week - I really shouldn't be messing around with Photoshop (see new avatar for example). In other news, I got Batman: Hush from Dee's, so there's plenty of things to distract me from what I should be doing, which probably isn't good.
Anybody else interested in starting a movement to stop people from talking at full volume in the cinema?

Bloody Live Journal won't let me post this as an avatar because it's too big, but it looks crappy at 100x100, so I'll just post it here. Procrastination is a wonderful thing...

Only one more day, he he he... (yes I'm a geek)

New house. New job. And I was in a car accident this morning. This equals no LJ entry in a little while. Production update on Eye of the Storm will happen when I have internet access at my house again.

Well, I've started working at JB now, and it's looking like it's gonna take up a lot of my time for a while, so I worry a little about whether I'll be able to complete Eye of the Storm in time for Tropfest. This might also delay my Hellboy sculpt a bit, but there isn't much time for delay on that. Of course, I could work on it now instead of posting on Live Journal. There's an idea.

I imagine LJ is somewhat clogged right now with a lot of posts lamenting George W. Bush getting elected for the first time (and no, comedians on Triple J are not the only ones to think of that joke). All I'll say is that Tom Waits said he'd move to New Zealand if Bush got back in, so I can see something positive coming from it. Although, that's one positive against countless negatives.
The Tropfest entry (called "Eye of the Storm") will now be animated, as opposed to live-action. That's about it for production updates on that front.
11 hour shift at JB on Tuesday. Then bed shopping the next day, and I have an exam to study for. I'm freaking tired.

*sigh* I was up all night doing my CMR assignment, which is done now. I had about two hours sleep from 8:30ish to 10:30ish, so that gave me enough of a wind to keep going till now. Feels good, I haven't watched the sun come up in a while.
The first draft of my script for Tropfest is done - and so far it has been received quite well. It even got rated 4 and a half stars from a particularly critical yet so very charming friend of mine, which is good as I basically wrote the script with her in mind to be in it, so if she hated it production would be held back somewhat.
I've started on a sculpt for the Hellboy boards Christmas art exchange, but so far it's just an armature with a Sculpey base. Sculpey is fun, I wish it wasn't so expensive. So many intended projects to begin with that. Witch King bust, for example.
Oh, and Shaun of the Dead is an absolutely brilliant movie - zombies, Simon Pegg, Dylan Moran, more zombies, what more could you want?

I have a headache, but right now I don't care, I have much better news. Last year a certain Mr. Gerard and a certain Mr. Jared and myself made an animated video to Dance Commander by Electric Six, which we ended up sending to the band, and now.... they have put it on their website for all to see! Huzzah!
Click it here, stop motion fans! Or flash fans. Or zombie fans. Whatever.
Right-click and "Save Target As..." is recommended, as back then we didn't know how to do a preloader.

No entry in about a month. Well, that's my attention span for you. Been working on ideas for a Tropfest entry at the back of my head, but more prominently I've been worrying about interactive multimedia, as well as wondering what the fuck is going wrong with my head. Ah, fuck it, it's not worth writing a live journal about, this isn't a forum for mental problems.

Scene breakdown is done. Take that, adversity. And Flash is now doing what it's supposed to do, which is nice. Now I just have to sit down and make this thing. And I can't be fucked tonight. Black Books Series 3 is very funny.
It's Open Day tomorrow, which means a whole bunch of high school kids are going to be walking around residences looking at the squalid filth we manage to live amongst, which has been dressed up to look almost passable. Every time they walk past a window they gawk in like you're an exhibit. This is what education looks like, kids! I might just sit on the stairs and smoke menacingly. Hmm, better take up smoking again...

Hellboy was fucking great. One of those movies where I just know I'm gonna get into arguments with people who didn't like it. People who write things like "OMG" and "sux00r5". I hate the internet, I don't know why I spend so much time on it.

Yes, as I said in the below entry before clicking "Upate Journal" by accident, Hellboy comes out today in Australia, which I have been looking forward to for a long time. Love the comics, and I'm a big fan of the director, Guillermo Del Toro. It's on at 1:15, so I'll probably be posting my thoughts on it after that.
Hey, this is the first time I've posted in the morning, as opposed to the morning that happens late at night. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Interesting weekend which was not as productive as it should been. Didn't do enough of anything I was supposed to do, but hey, it's only 10:30, I'm awake for a good few hours at least. I did cook some good bolognese though.
I keep thinking I should tell some people I know that I actually have a journal now, but then I'd probably run out of things to say to them, because they've already read about it.
"Hey, how was your weekend? Oh wait, I read all about it on your Live Journal. It wasn't very interesting. This eliminates any need for further conversation."
Yeah, my friends talk like robots.
